Well a lot happened this weekend. So much so, I will have to break it up into a couple of posts. I was invited by Dave Allee to be a part of a celebrity 3 on 3 basketball tournament to help raise funds for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Ok it wasn't a celebrity basketball tournament but I'm calling it that because I want to be of celebrity status.
Coming into the event I felt pretty good about our chances of winning, however 3 plays into the first game one of our players, Jeff, suffered an ankle sprain and was done for the day. Because we had been training for 4 years for this day, and foolishly overlooked the possibility of an injury, Jeff's absence sent us into a tailspin that we could not recover from. Needless to say, we are all winners, so DON'T FUCKING BRING UP THAT WE DIDN'T WIN THIS TOURNAMENT BECAUSE WE DID. WE'RE ALL WINNERS!!!
Moving right along...It was brought to my attention that awhile ago a company had brought back ghetto blasters for your ipod. Actually, I guess ghetto blasters are for your shoulder -- you get what I'm saying though. I so desperately need one of these to be cool. If I was just a fat, cigarette smoking, drunken, slob of a human being, but had one of these on my shoulders -- all would be forgiven. I assume.

Super Bowl. Rabbit Hole...
Rabbit hole, hairy mole, satan's toll, predictable, voter's poll, to be honest I don't know where this is going so I'll stop. So February is finally here! Well, actually it's been here for 7 days, but I've been sick so those days don't count; today is the first day of February for me because now I'm better! And because today is the first day of February for me, I am somewhat of a time traveler. And what a perfect period I chose to time travel during because the Super bowl just happened and I know the results. Now if I could just pick up some Californium (most people think it's plutonium that powers a time machine, but that's a silly misconception based off of a silly 80's film, When Harry Met Sally).
Those shoes over there are my brand new basketball shoes guaranteed to make me jump higher and move faster -- I can't wait. First pair of basketball shoes I have bought that cost more than $20. I can't believe I went this long before buying a decent pair of shoes, it's not like I play basketball often...right?....right????

This other picture is of the kids we babysit. Probably the most well behaved kids in the world. However, the particular pic is important because we are watching Nanny McPhee.
*WARNING: NEVER WATCH THIS MOVIE OR HAVE YOUR KIDS SUBJECTED TO IT'S SHEAR SHITTYNESS!
Seriously, I am into movies and admit that even the worst movies have some sort of entertainment value...this movie has none. None. Slightly less entertaining than this blog.

AY . The Great ones never lose it
AY here showcasing a triple threat. No not pass, shoot, or drive, but headband, Jordan apparel, and tanned skin. With these 3 things, he MUST be a good basketball player*! Our men's basketball league features only the top players in Orange County banking...because it obviously doesn't feature the top players in OC for basketball. Moving right along.
*It should be noted that AY holds multiple Newport Harbor Basketball records and multiple San Diego County Under 6 Foot Men's League records as well.
Why is news so messed up? On the front of YAHOO there is Obama's speech, a story about a many losing his job in Chicago over a Packers neck tie, and a large lizard on the loose in Riverside County. We are 5 years away from TMZ being the most hard hitting news channel...and I love it!
